DSU Cello Festival 2019
September 13-14
Join us for an inspiring two-day event featuring 100+ cellists of all ages and levels from Utah, Nevada and California. Besides the wonderful workshop sessions for cellists, there are three public concerts open to everyone for FREE on Sept 13 730pm (Artist Solo Recital), Sept 14 3pm (Matinee Chamber Concert) and Sept 14 730pm (Final Cello Ensemble Concert). Songs Without Words: Featuring 30 Singing Cellos
May 10 (St. George) & May 11 (Cedar City), 2019
Join us for a program of lyrical music, vocal transcriptions and beautiful melodies from Bach, Rachmaninoff to Metallica and Queen! The versatile Rosin Cello Duo will be the featured artists. DSU dancers led by Jenny Mair will perform with the cellists as well. Both concerts begin at 7pm, Free Admission. Half of the freewill donation will be sent to charity organizations Switchpoint and Iron County Care & Share. The concerts will be held in Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, St. George on May 10 (Fri) and in Community Presbyterian Church, Cedar City on May 11 (Sat).
